The frail elderly wing has 27 single bedrooms on two floors. Each bedroom is between 12 and 15 square metres with separate en-suite facilities containing a toilet and wash hand-basin. Some of these en-suites have their own showers, with pull down shower seats.

Many of the ground floor bedrooms have their own door to the courtyard or gardens.

There are four separate bathrooms with a choice of baths and assisted bathing facilities, and two of these also have separate shower cubicles.

We have a large lounge overlooking the front of the building, a small snug lounge upstairs and several small seating areas throughout Orwell House. There is a large screen plasma TV, DVD player, stereo and radio player in the main lounge.

The beautiful dining room overlooks a landscaped inner courtyard, with a water feature and raised flower beds. A private room is available for residents who want to meet their visitors in private, but not in their bedrooms.

We have a fully fitted Residents Kitchen, where residents or relatives can make their own tea, coffee, snacks, and do some baking if they wish.
