Prior to becoming a resident, it is usual for a potential resident to be visited in their own home or in hospital by our Home Care Manager to discuss and assess their individual social and physical needs.

This important meeting, coupled with a medical recommendation, is a preliminary step in preparing a personalised Care Plan, designed to meet individual requirements and preferences.

Pre-assessment of needs ensures that the correct living environment is prepared in advance to guarantee our residents the highest possible quality of life.

As it is important to be sure that a long term resident is going to be happy, we consider the first month to be a settling in period for residents to decide for certain that Orwell House is their home.
