Food & Nutrition
We offer a high standard of traditional, English style cuisine prepared by our own in-house chef, Mr Ken Parker, with the emphasis on balanced nutrition, quality produce and attractive presentation. Ingredients are selected for their freshness and nutritional value. Our aim is to provide nutritionally balanced meals whilst paying particular care and attention to our residents’ individual likes and dislikes.
There are a number of different dishes to choose from every day and Chef can also cater for any individuals’ special dietary requirements. We have regular resident’s meetings in which residents are encouraged to express their views and opinions.
Breakfast may be served in residents’ own room or in the dining room. A two or three course lunch is served, followed by afternoon tea and then supper. We have a sherry trolley at 12 noon and we serve wine with lunch.
The menu choices are changed daily and residents can make their selection each morning. Chef will also make up whatever anyone fancies. If friends or relatives are staying for lunch then just let us know the day before. We do encourage everybody to have lunch in the dining room, as this is an opportunity to socialise and get to know the other residents.
