Ken Parker
Our chef, Ken Parker, has a wealth of experience in first class establishments from Savoy apprentice to Robert Carrier, two seasons in Bordeaux and a honeymoon hotel in the peak district.
Eight years as a course leader in Kitchen practice and hospitality soon gave him the desire to complete an Honours degree in Nutrition and Food Science with special interest in food and the older person. Ken has advanced food hygiene, advanced food preparation and service in hospitality studies as well as City & Guilds professional qualifications and is also a qualified trainer.
Ken’s vision is to enhance the quality of food and service at Orwell House by introducing great dishes and using fresh, local produce as part of a varied, balanced and nutritious menu.
